    • Performance Monitoring: Track financial performance against budgets with comprehensive, timely reporting.
    • Transaction Approvals & Compliance: Review and approve high-level financial transactions to ensure policy compliance and prompt invoice processing.
    • Financial Analysis & Research: Conduct and oversee complex financial research and multi-year forecasting models in support of organizational initiatives.
    • Core Operational Oversight: Manage key campus processes, including staffing, CBR reconciliation, equity costing, and year-end reporting.
    • Capital Projects Business Operations: Provide expert guidance throughout the project capitalization lifecycle, manage project budgets, facilitate construction payments and serve as finance liaison with UCR Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis and other campus departments.
    • Policy & Process Standards: Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide policy guidance and interpretation.
    • Provides guidance to supervisors and managers on compensation programs, personnel policies, and procedures.
    • Initiates and coordinates recruitments while providing consultation to management on workforce planning, salary actions, job descriptions, and recruitment.
    • Coordinates the leave administration process and provides counsel to supervisors, managers, and employees regarding leave administration and appropriateness of types of leaves.
    • Recommends and establishes improvements or changes in personnel policies and practices.
    • Coordinates mandatory training activities and reports, notifying appropriate individuals regarding instances of non-compliance.
    • Assists with the on-boarding process of new employees.
    • Reviews requests for classification, equity, and retention actions and works with client groups on complex re-organizations and staffing objectives.
    • Counsels and provides guidance to management on difficult employee and labor relations issues, including corrective action, performance management, etc.
